Whitehaven is accessible by car, train and bus.

By Car
Located on the West Coast of Cumbria and easily accessible from the M6 via the A66, the A595 (north or south) and from the south on the A590 via Broughton in Furness.

Enter Whitehaven from the north or south on the A595. Follow the Town Centre and brown Museum signs. The Beacon is located on the Harbourside and looks like a large lighthouse.

Coach and car parking is available.

By Train
Whitehaven is situated on the scenic Cumbrian Coast line between Barrow in-Furness and Carlisle. Whitehaven station is located 200 yards (approx 10 minute walk) to the regenerated harbour area. The Beacon is located on the Harbourside and looks like a large lighthouse.
