Space Descent VR with Tim Peake

Experience the breath-taking journey through space in the very same Soyuz capsule which returned renowned British astronaut Tim Peake back to earth after six months at the International Space Station.

Space Descent retraces Tim Peake’s 400km journey back to Earth from the International Space Station.

Using state-of-the-art VR technology, Space Descent enables you to experience what it feels like to sit inside the Soyuz capsule as it makes its dangerous high-speed journey back to earth. A thrilling ride previously experienced only by a handful of astronauts and narrated by Tim Peake himself.

VR experience will be available at weekends and during school holidays.

This is included with admission/free for annual ticket holders. Please note that admission to the museum is required or a valid annual pass. 

The film will also be showed regularly throughout the day on the second floor of the museum.
