Saturday 25 January | 11.00am – 1.30pm

Learn the art of contemporary gilding, how it has changed over time and how you can use it in your own home to give your possessions the Midas touch!

During the workshop you will learn how to gild a picture frame with Dutch Gold leaf and add your own unique flair to an ornament, object or fresh flower.

Your golden picture frame and gilded decoration will make stunning mementoes of the day or beautiful gifts for loved ones.

The perfect treat for you and your friends to banish the winter blues!

Amelia has a Master’s degree in the Conservation of Cultural Heritage and is a gilt frame, objects and decorative surfaces conservator and restorer. She has worked in the Fine Arts sector for over four years restoring and conserving antiques.

Amelia’s workshops make ideal Christmas presents for friends and family.

Minimum age 16 years.

Full payment is required upon booking via our booking website. Please note tickets are non-refundable. Make sure to read all details below before purchasing your ticket.  Please note that there is no annual pass member discount off this workshop. 

Guests with special nutritional requirements must contact our team at thebeacon@copeland.gov.uk, at least 72 hours before the event.

Our workshop has a minimum of eight participant guests and a maximum of fifteen. In the event any of the workshops do not meet the minimum of eight guests, we reserve the right to change the event date to the next available workshop with the minimum required guests. Customers will be contacted to arrange the best suitable available date.
