Pits, Presidents and Pirates – Guided Walking Tour of Whitehaven

The Beacon Museum brings back the popular Pits, Presidents and Pirates walking tour of Whitehaven for Summer 2024. 

Starting from The Beacon Museum, West Strand, Whitehaven Harbour, our guide will take you on a fascinating tour around the Harbour and Whitehaven Town while sharing information and facts on the varied, dangerous and sometimes starry history of Whitehaven.

In the event of poor weather and the walk being cancelled an alternative talk in the Beacon may be provided.

The walk covers approximately one mile with plenty of pauses to take in the views and history of the town and harbour.

Meeting at The Beacon Museum, West Strand, Whitehaven Harbour at 1.30pm the Pits, Presidents and Pirates walk will take place on the following dates:

Admission to the walk only costs £2 per person or FREE WITH ENTRY TO MUSEUM. Pre-booking preferable but not compulsory. If just attending the walk, please select ‘Guided Walk Ticket’.

If attending the museum and walk, please select relevant admission ticket only.

Suitable for Ages 7+, under 18s to be accompanied by an Adult.
