Friends of the Beacon Museum talk: The Bonze Age Arm Ring project.

This months Friends of the Beacon Museum talk will be given by Andrew Allshorn of 3d Squared and Zoe Crossan of Eagle Labs.

The Arm Ring has been 3d scanned and replicas have been 3d printed by Andrew Allshorn of 3d Squared. Find out why, and how at this months Friends of the Beacon Museum talk. 

The Friends of the Beacon Museum talks are held on the first Tuesday of each month in the Beacon Portal, starting at 19:30. Admission to the talks is £2 for Friends of the Beacon Museum/Annual passholders, and £3 for non-members.

 

The Bronze Age gold arm ring is a joint acquisition between The Beacon Museum and Tullie, Carlisle.

This exceptionally rare find is one of few gold Bronze Age objects found in Cumbria and will be on display in our 3rd floor gallery from 18 November 2023 – September 2024, after which it will be displayed at Tullie.

Purchased with support from Art Fund, Arts Council England/V&A Purchase Grant Fund, Cumberland Council, Cumberland and Westmorland Antiquarian and Archaeological Society, and Portable Antiquities Scheme.
