Christmas Activity Programme

HO HO HO!

We can’t wait for Christmas this year! Santa’s helpers have put together an exciting programme of events. 

Please make sure that you thoroughly read through all the details about the activity you’re booking.

Please note that there is a 15p booking fee per ticket.

To make sure we keep it fair, if your selected activity isn’t available and you would like to go on our waiting list, please email thebeacon@copeland.gov.uk with your name, contact number, date of activity and how many tickets. We will get back in touch with you as soon as we are able.

CHRISTMAS FAMILY PHOTO’S

3 & 4 December 

Christmas – It has to be THE most special time of year when you’re a child. And the perfect time to capture the magic and excitement with a Christmas Mini Photography session with the family or just the kids!

Each session will last 30 minutes, which will give our fantastic photographer plenty of time to capture those special family moments. All images will be provided digitally. 

⭐️ Cost – £40.00 per time slot
⭐️ Places are limited, and booking is essential.

Please note that admission to the museum is not included.

CHRISTMAS WREATH WORKSHOP

4 December at 11am 

Start a beautiful tradition with your little ones this Christmas.

Create a festive wreath, under the expert guidance of Emma from Eliza and flo, that you’ll be very proud to hang on your front door.

Make your way to The Beacon Portal where you’ll be greeted by one of our Christmas helpers with a hot chocolate to warm up before you get creative. All materials will be provided, however feel free to bring some additional pieces if you wish to personalise yours.

⭐️ Cost – £25.00 per child
⭐️ Places are limited, and booking is essential.

⭐️ A parent/guardian must be present at all times. 

Please note that admission to the museum is not included in this workshop.

MEET QUEEN ELSA

10 & 11 December at 11am & 1pm

The Ice Queen will be at The Beacon Museum this Christmas and we can’t wait!
Your princesses will make their way to the Viewing Gallery, where they will make some Frozen-themed crafts then Elsa will join us for a story, princess lessons, games, dancing, ‘the princess promise’ and photographs.
There will also be a special frozen themed trail through the museum.
Dress up is highly encouraged.

SANTA’S GROTTO

17 – 22 December

Arrive to The Beacon Portal, where one of Santa’s elves will greet you with a hot chocolate and have a selection of crafts to do.  At your allocated time slot, one of the elves will take you to visit Santa in his winter wonderland grotto. There will also be a Christmas trail through the museum.

Each child booked on to this experience will receive a gift from Santa.

Or £6.50 per child if an annual pass member (valid pass must be shown)

PET ENCOUNTER

20 December – Limited availability 

22 December – SOLD OUT 

We welcome the incredible Pet Encounters team who will teach you about their beautiful animal’s, their habitat, where they originate from, and how to care and look after them. You’ll also get a chance to hold and interact with many of the animals.
