With Mother’s Day just around the corner, this glass fusing workshop is the perfect way to celebrate.

Come along with your mum or that special person, and enjoy a fun, creative experience together. Spend time chatting, laughing, and making something beautiful side by side. 

Prefer to surprise them? Create a handmade glass piece as a unique Mother’s day gift – thoughtful, personal, and made with love. 

Or if you’re a mum, this one’s for you too. Take some time for yourself, get creative, and enjoy a relaxed, welcoming workshop just before Mother’s day.  

Learn a new skill and have fun being creative with hands on instruction and the freedom to create your own design. 

During the course you will learn about glass fusing and use a mixture of crushed glass, glass pieces, glass wafers, rods and powders to create your own design. All materials, use of equipment and refreshments are included in the price.

Your piece will be taken away to fuse and shape, you can collect it from The Beacon Museum 2-3 weeks after the class.

Courses are limited to eight people maximum to ensure that everyone will receive enough time and attention.

Age 16+ unless otherwise agreed.

We recommend looking at fused glass images prior to the class, to give you some inspiration and an idea of what to expect.

Refreshments will be provided.

Full payment is required upon booking via our booking website. Please note tickets are non-refundable. Make sure to read all details below before purchasing your ticket. 

Guests with special nutritional requirements must contact our team at thebeacon@copeland.gov.uk, at least 72 hours before the event.

Our workshop has a minimum of six participant guests and a maximum of eight. In the event any of the workshops do not meet the minimum of six guests, we reserve the right to change the event date to the next available workshop with the minimum required guests. Customers will be contacted to arrange the best suitable available date.
