Join us for a series of fascinating walks and talks uncovering the hidden stories and remarkable characters of Whitehaven’s past.
All walk and talks will be starting from The Beacon Museum entrance.

Learn where a famous lion tamer spent his winters and explore the town’s 35 year struggle for clean water and sanitation that helped lead to Britain’s first Public Health Act

A captivating journey through the people, places and untold histories that shaped Whitehaven.
**Pre-booking is preferable but not compulsory. In the event of poor weather and the walk being cancelled an alternative talk in the Beacon may be provided.**
