Light and Dark Gallery

The Beacon Museums collection includes over 1200 works of fine art.

This exhibition brings together some of West Cumbria’s most well-loved and distinguished artists, showcasing the powerful representations of the areas local industrial past. 

Celebrated artists such as Percy Kelly, considered to be one of the most important in recent years amongst works by some of the greatest local artists will be on display.

CURATORS TALK – BRINGING THE EXHIBITION TO LIFE

Curators, Tony and Sal Calvin will conduct informal talks in the Light and Dark Gallery, which will provide you with some background about the artists and they will talk you through the pictures on display. Please note that an admission fee is required for this.
