THE NEW MRS DAVIDSON SEWING RESIDENCY
TUESDAY 21 – SATURDAY 25 OCTOBER 2025 | 10AM – 4.30PM
SUNDAY 26 OCTOBER | 11AM – 4PM
INCLUDED IN MUSEUM ADMISSION
Join Becks Skinner, as she creates an Edwardian outfit for the new Mrs Davidson. Inspired by a wedding dress in The Beacon Museum collection, worn in Egremont in 1911, the sewing residency will create a new outfit that the bride might have worn the next day for her honeymoon.
Visitors are welcome to drop in during the sessions to see how outfits of the period were created, explore the changing fashions of the period and the story behind the wedding dress.
The Sewing Residency will be popping up at local venues to create the undergarments, before the main Sewing week at The Beacon Museum (Tues 21st Oct-Sun 26th Oct)
